The Capacity planner is part of the Process Control department and reports to the Process Manager. The Capacity planner is supporting the overall operational planning process and is engaged in optimizing the local forecast and associated capacity planning.
The Capacity planner supports the operation in the field of planning issues and capacity management. The capacity planner, in cooperation with the operational management, ensures that the correct translation is made from the forecast to optimal capacity planning. The Capacity planner is the point of contact for the operational management concerning capacity issues.
This is your daily Action
As a Capacity Planner you will be responsible for moving the central forecast (S&OP planning) to a local forecast for making and maintaining the forecast for the operational departments. You will analyze data and make forecasts for (personnel) planning, in order to remain constantly alert regarding possible adjustments, efficiency layers and improvements. You will also be responsible for determining the required staffing capacity based on forecast. You will monitor timely and correct implementation of changes in the planning system to support the entire operational organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for central coordination and you will be the point of contact for team leaders on all relevant matters relating to the operational activities of temporary employment agencies. Moreover, you will monitor and report KPIs to the Operational Management, by means of consultation forms.
You will be responsible for monitoring trends for future capacity and need. You will provide requested and unsolicited advice to the operational management regarding the planning, matching, hiring and/ or reducing of human resources.
In collaboration with the Operational Manager, you will supervise and set up projects regarding capacity issues related to the optimization and implementation of ongoing and new processes.

As a Capacity Planner you actively search, within the responsibilities of the own function, for the wishes and needs of the internal customer and, if possible, deliver even more or faster than agreed than the (internal) customer expects. You come up with proposals to set up processes efficiently in terms of the use of both time and resources. You work effectively with others to achieve common goals, seeking cooperation in this. You are highly organized, know how to structure activities and projects, meet agreements within deadlines and in accordance with guidelines. You Suggest efficient and effective planning methods with the least possible complexity and implement them. You are strong in communication.
Furthermore you have:
- Bachelor degree
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of capacity planning
- Strong in analyzing, evaluating and making recommendations for the organization
- Knowledge of various WFM systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent mastery of Excel and Qlikview
